Individual Projects of Brad Buhle

The projects are designed to give us a firm understanding of several different machines that the different learning environments in which we shall be teaching may have.  Also, to help us become formulae with the what it takes to learn new equipment and how to get aquatinted with it as quick as possible

Rotation #3 Rapid Prototyping:

In this rotation, everyone in our group participated in creating objects for the Cyberware 3-D Laser Scanner Model 15, FDM machine, and the rapid prototyping Z-Corp printer.  After picking an object to scan, we fallowed the processes necessary to product a 3-D graphic on the computer by using excess scans, auto aligning, and smoothing the merged images.  We then rendered the image as an STL file using CyDir software, which became our completed individual project.  Before production on the FDM (Fuse Deposition Modeling) machine, we first created the graphic on Rhino.  After sending the graphic to the computer that is connected with the FDM, we fallowed step-by-step procedures to create it as a prototype. Because of mechanical issues with the z-Corp printer, we were unable to complete that phase of this rotation.
